Day 102 - Rainforest
Last night on a Guardian podcast I listened to news that large multi national companies had bought up an area the size of the uk in the Congo for development. The valueable teak trees will be felled to make doors, floors and furniture for the affluent first world. What will the Africans get out of it I wonder. When will this plundering end! After thirty years of campaigning for rainforest protection it would seem that international companies can still go in and get a bargain without hinderance.
