Day 117 - Tinderbox
The afternoon temperature exceeds 25 degrees ensuring that by now the forest is very dry. Crisp autumn leaves disintegrate when trodden on and branches lying around from past storms just snap under foot. I spot a number of rodents, brown mice I think, after their noisy rustling of leaves gives them away. With ony a few days left in April its reputation as one of the wettest months seems to have been shot.
