Day 121 - Maibaum

Yesterday the last day of April saw Bad Wildbads community putting up their traditional Maypole. Two sturdy carthorses brought the 12-metre tree into the town centre where all the locals were out in force to watch. It was no easy task hoisting the tree into the air despite having most of its branches removed but with the help of ropes, wooden supports and plenty of muscle supplied by the local fire brigade it was finally upright just after 18:30.
