The second day into my soil/cement sculpture and I am making good progress. I collect soil from a new location now where it is sandy and almost free from stones. It is also lighter which means that I can bring back almost twice the amount. I leave it to dry for a day or two, then sift it to remove vegetation and stones. I am still experimenting with the soil/cement mix adding my own special ingredients but hopefully I will be able to start cementing early next week. The drawing shows the approximate proportions, posture and segments of the 1-metre high sculpture.
