Day 157 - Summer

Intermittent rain and high humidity mark the first few days of summer (official start 1st June). The forest resounds with birdcalls, buzzing bees and flies and has an almost tropical ambience. High above a buzzard calls while soaring on the thermals rising up from the valley. The only omissions seem to be the butterflies, usually absent when humidity is too high.
