Day 235 - Rathaus

Stained glass windows

Today I walked down the zigzag path to visit the Rathaus and do some shopping. The ‘Rat-haus’ (advise-house) is the local town hall where the mayor resides with his fellow workers. Inside it is a musty old building with creaky wooden stairs and numerous dull numbered offices. But if proof were needed that you can learn and find something interesting in everything, I discovered these ornate stained glass windows on my way down the stairs. The story they tell is surely also to be found here but I had to leave that for another time.
