Day 240 - Raven
I walk up and down the hill this morning noting quite a number of fungi on the way. None look particularly appetising so I buy some handpicked champignons at the supermarket. While unusual insects maybe difficult to find, once found they are easy to photograph. In contrast interesting birds are everywhere but are almost impossible to catch on camera without a tele-zoom, camouflage and Zen patience. A low flying buzzard glides past me and I chase it optimistically from tree to tree but it manages to retain a tantalising 100 metres distance between us. Thankfully immature birds are less timid and this young raven/crow walking the pathway allowed me to snap its portrait. It would probably have taken food from me had I offered it any.
