Day 274 - Einheit

Early morning mog fills the Enz valley hiding the town of Bad Wildbad which nestles between Sommerberg and Meisternkopf (714m). Today is a public holiday in Germany celebrating reunification (Tag d. Deustchen Einheit). The wall that had separated East Germany from the west finally came down in 1989. It’s a fine warm start to the day and the practically leafless horse chestnut tree outside my window is the only indication of autumn. A day to relax, switch off the fax.
