Day 323 - Winter trees
I take advantage of a mild spell and walk to Fünf Bäume in the afternoon. Most of the non-evergreen trees are bare now, the weight of the snow having removed the last stubborn leaves. I am surprised to hear a ‘Clanger’ calling in the forest; I don’t know how it got there normally the Clangers live on another planet. Of course it could have been a birdcall that I am not familiar with. In fact there was a number of interesting sounds but identifying birds or weird animals by their calls was never one of my strong points. It spots with rain and in places a ground mist hovers over the melt water adding to an eerie atmosphere.
