Snow & ice

Snow returned a few days ago and although it was not much the cold temperatures have ensured that it remains. The day dawns clear, bright and frosty. Wandering along the forest tracks the leaves crunch underfoot and snow sparkles as if powdered with silver glitter. The cold night has turned the snow into a gritty crystallic powder and its almost like walking through white sand. No doubt the Eskimos have a word for it.
